So you want to transfer to the 28th?
There are a few things you should know first:
((We are a Heavy RP guild. This means that we put a priority on our Roleplay above pretty much everything else. This does not mean that we do not play the game, go out and kill stuff, and enjoy action and fighting. It does mean, however, that we will endeavor to be in-character while doing these things. It means there are times you will be expected to put action on pause for a little bit for RP purposes. It can be done, believe me, and we have experience in doing it well, while maintaining a great level of fun. This means squad tactics, organization, and above all, cooperation.
We have out of character areas on our website, and we understand and accept that sometimes you just can't stay IC at all times. We strive for that level of creativity where it is immersive and enjoyable without being obsessive. We do not force people not in our clan to RP with us. It's their choice. We can respect them and simply be polite without breaking our own immersion.
You are expected to have a character concept in mind when you join. It can be relatively basic and fleshed out more as you go. You are expected to have a decent grasp on the English language and its grammar/punctuation rules. No one is perfect, but at least make an effort. Leet speak is a guaranteed way to get rejected.
Do not confuse the player for the character. This is one of the biggest problems with many roleplayers, and one we will not tolerate. Do not metagame (which means to use knowledge of things you as the player know, to further your character's agenda, even though your character may have no way of knowing such things. Example, if you read a character's journal on the website OOC, and it says someone doesn't like your character. It is metagaming to then have your character react as if they know about what you, the player, read in this journal). Realize that a character may do things or say things that the player never would. We're playing a role. It's like acting. You don't condemn an actor for doing and saying things as a movie character. Same concept applies.
If you are relatively new to the StarGate lore, or with roleplaying in general, we are happy to help bring you up to speed. But be flexible, and willing to learn. We are overall a group of friends looking to have a good time. Ego trips and power mongers are not needed nor desired. Don't be embarrassed to admit when you don't know something. Ask, and we'll all be better for it.
Though this all sounds very harsh and authoritative, it's really not. We just want you to know what you are getting into, and make it clear what we hope to uphold in the way of general courtesy. Honestly, it's all about the fun! Come and play with us!))
If you're still interested, take a moment and fill out an application on our forum. Please be as thorough as possible so we can get a good idea of who you are. Look forward to seeing you!
